CLICK FOR 2021 CENSUS DATAIntroduction
Binham is a small village with a long history. Pretty cottages old and new surround the Green where the old cross stands. The remains of the Priory founded 800 years ago by Peter de Valoines, nephew of the Conqueror, and left ruined at the Dissolution, can be visited. The nave was spared as it was used as the parish church and is used to the present day as the Church of St. Mary and the Cross. The entrance through the ruined gatehouse leads to the magnificent west front built by Prior Richarde de Parco.
